14.03.02 Nuclear Physics and Engineering

The program aims to equip students with a strong foundation in nuclear physics, particle physics, and cosmology. Through research work, they will acquire knowledge that can be applied to improve experimental techniques in these fields. The program trains students to conduct and analyze experiments, as well as to solve fundamental problems in astrophysics, cosmology, and particle physics, particularly related to the early Universe, dark matter, and dark energy.

After graduation, students can pursue employment opportunities in research in basic particle physics and cosmology, as well as participate in the preparation and execution of particle physics experiments, including the creation and utilization of particle and radiation detectors. They will also be equipped to analyze experimental data and make theoretical predictions, as well as interpret experiments in high-energy physics, such as those conducted at accelerators and in astrophysics.

For preliminary evaluation of your documents you need to submit the following set:
  • ID (Passport)
  • Degree Certificate
  • Transcript
Once you have obtained a conditional acceptance letter you need to start preparing the application set:
  • Passport scan copy with the notarised translation to Russian language.
  • High School Certificate or Previous Degree Diploma with the notarised translation to Russian language.
  • Transcript of Records with the notarised translation to Russian language.
  • Medical Certificate that confirms no contra-indications for studying in Russia + Negative AIDS/HIV test certificate issued by an official healthcare authority of your country.
  • Photo in passport-format.
This set of documents is required in order to register an applicant for entrance examinations.

Examination dates are determined for each subject specifically and depends on the program level and major. Make sure to contact our admission officers to learn the schedule of the entrance exams for your program.
Full admission set with all necessary documents and notarised translations shall be submitted no later than August 10, 2025.
